Step 1

Build your list

Type items, upload a receipt photo, speak your list, or pick from a recipe — your list builds automatically on the right.

Dietary filters

Add who's eating — each person's diet, allergies and a gentle goal shape the week and the shopping list.

General wellness info, not medical or dietary advice — confirm goals with a doctor or dietitian, especially for diabetes, pregnancy, kidney disease or children.

Tick what you keep stocked and we’ll leave it off your list — recipes, the week plan, and receipts all subtract your pantry.

Separate items with commas or new lines. Tip: include quantities like "2kg basmati rice" for better planning.

Not because the food is wrong — because they forget you're a little homesick, often tired, and watching every dollar. This one starts there. Tell us four things and we'll design a week that still tastes like home.

Good questions

Yes — completely free. SmartBazaar is part of NRI Outpost, which is free and requires no sign-up. The site is supported by non-intrusive ads and affiliate links, clearly disclosed. If we ever add a premium tier for advanced features (like saved lists or weekly deal alerts), the core planner will stay free.
In Phase 1 (now), prices are illustrative placeholders. In Phase 2, a Cloudflare Worker will query store APIs and curated price databases to fetch real current prices near your ZIP code. We compare Indian grocery stores, Kroger, Walmart, and Costco. Prices vary by location and change frequently — we'll show a "last updated" timestamp so you always know how fresh the data is.
We'll cover Indian grocery chains (Patel Brothers, Subzi Mandi, Apna Bazar, and local independents), plus Walmart, Kroger, HEB, Safeway, and Costco. Coverage depends on your location — we use Google Maps Places API to find stores within a configurable radius. If your favourite store is missing, you'll be able to suggest it.
Your grocery list lives only in your browser — we don't store it on any server. When you click "Plan my trip", we'll send the list to a Cloudflare Worker for processing, but nothing is persisted beyond that request. Your location, if shared, is used only to find nearby stores in that session and is never logged. We follow the same privacy principles as the rest of NRI Outpost: no tracking, no profiling, no selling data.
